Geocache Description:

RikJaxon hits 1,000! GC2GN4A has been archived. I had to archive my first cache because not only is that cache missing, but the corner of the block was completely redone. So I moved and changed it to here.

In the early days of Geocaching fallenfaery & Special Ed started a tradition to recognize those who pass a major milestone by placing milestone caches. After all these years the tradition still carries on today and is just a small way to congratulate local cachers on their efforts. This cache recognizes the cacher RikJaxon and his 1,000 find.

Rick was the person who introduced me to geocaching back in Nov. 2008. He was told of this activity by BDKnel at that same time. Rick, who works with me, asked me if I wanted to check it out and I said sure. So we both set up accounts and went out to a cache close by called Coast Guard Park by the Geofogies (GCZTKA). After several frustrating attempts to find this cache, Rick makes the find.
I was far from hooked on caching then. I remember thinking that we spent a whole lot of time looking at Coast Guard Park for what? It seemed caching was a huge waste of time. But we tried some more caches and slowly I began to realize how cool this really was to do. My love of hiking and forest preserves was quickly regenerated in this hobby.

So thank you Rick for getting me into this hobby. A Big Congrats on your 1,000 find before your 2 year anniversary.
