Barranco de la Arena Traditional Cache

Wenn man von Puerto de la Cruz zum Playa Bollullo läuft, muss man den Barranco de la Arena queren. Der Weg ist leicht zu gehen und der Strand ist schön. Hier sind alte Terrassen ehemaliger landwirtschaftlicher Nutzung und Bananenfelder zu finden. Nichts spektakuläres. Wenn man aber nach dem Fund bis zur Dämmerung bleibt, kann man hier die Schreie der einfliegenden Gelbschnabel-Sturmtaucher hören (hier nennt man sie Pardelas) und sie mit etwas Glück auch im Schein der mitgebrachten Lampe sehen. Diese Schreie haben uns jetzt den ganzen Urlaub hier in unserer Finca am Barranco begleitet und deshalb haben wir uns entschieden, den Barranco mit einer kleinen Dose zu versehen.

If you walk from Puerto de la Cruz to Playa Bollullo you have to cross the Barranco de la Arena. It's an easy way and the beach is worth a visit. You will see old terraces of former agricultural use and banana trees. Nothing really spectacular. If you wait until dusk after the found you can hear the sound of the incoming Shearwater birds (here they call them Pardelas) and with a little luck you can also see them using a torch you brought with you. We have heard them every evening being in our finca nearby. So we want to dedicade this box to the Barranco and the Shearwaters.
