Geocache Description:


The railway Savski Marof-Kumrovec and further to the state border with Slovenia, is the local track length 38km. The railway was built in 1956th year, a portion along the state border to Kumrovec 1969th year. The railway follows the flow of rivers Sutla and at several places the state border with Slovenia. Currently, most of the track is closed to traffic since 2000. year. 13th June 2008. opened the renovated electrified line Sutla - Harmica, which is also the last suburban railway stations Harmica - Savski Marof - Zagreb - Dugo Selo. To continue reconstruction of the tracks to Kumrovec, Croatian Government have to resolve the Slovenian 540 meters of the interstate border along river Sutla and three kilometers of the shares Harmica to Vukovo Selo.
