Geocache Description:

The co-ordintes lead you to a place close to the cache but there are a couple of puzzles to solve first. The whole place is generally accessible to all. Public parking nearby. Cache itself not available on Sundays. NB - several of the clues are now defunct and I need to make a few amendments, however the cache is still in situ and an educated guess should help cachers find it quite easily.

In 1906 the Carnegie-funded Public Library was opened on King Square, followed two years later by the Borough of Barry Public Offices. In recent years the Square and the Park have been re-laid and the library modernised and extended to incorporate the old Town Hall, re-opening in January 2007. The extended car park to the rear was built on the site of the old Barry Accident Hospital, which enjoyed good views over the rose beds in Central Park. The cache is a small box containing logbook, pencil and swaps. While at the location why not take a look around the modern library and art gallery, where you will find a number of interesting sculptures and paintings on display – you could even log in and register your find while you are there! Answer the following to locate the cache: What number do you ring to release a vehicle locked in the car park? 01446 ABCDEF (A+C+E)-(B+D+F)= G In what year was the Welsh Congregational Chapel built? HIJK When was Dan Evans given a facelift? LMNO add together = PQ (NB don't look for a shop called Dan Evans, it no longer exists) Cache located at: QJK.IPGH Cache only available: Monday 9.30am - 7.00pm Tuesday 9.30am - 5.30pm Wednesday 9.30am - 5.30pm Thursday 9.30am - 5.30pm Friday 9.30am - 5.30pm Saturday 9.30am - 4.00pm This cache is one of a series, including two Bugs, placed in or near all the Vale of Glamorgan Libraries to celebrate Libraries Fortnight, 1-14 November 2011.
