The Wooden Spindle series, inspired by crawfoa and team's Wooden Leg series, consists of 11 traditional caches and one bonus Mystery cache. In order to find the mystery cache you will first need to find all 11 traditional caches which will contain the clues you need to find the final mystery cache. Please do not remove the tethered containers from their hiding places. Log only, BYOP. Good luck and enjoy the series!
Walnut
With a hardness of about 4 on a 1 to 5 scale, walnut is a rich brown wood that's easy to work with. Unsurpassed in finishing, clear finishes and oils will bring out satiny grain. The dark heartwood makes this very distinctive. Walnut is a great wood to work with and lends itself nicely for use as accents and inlays to dress up a project. Common Uses: High end furniture, carving, flooring accents, musical instruments, gun stocks. Unfortunately, walnut is somewhat expensive and finding large boards for big projects is getting difficult. You won't find walnut at your local home center and you may need to special order it from a lumberyard if you want a large quantity.
