The cache is a virtual cache in Eureka's Beautiful main city park. I spent a good part of my childhood in Eureka, and as such, have spent a *LOT* of time in this great park.
In memory of "Holy Cow". I hope that whoever took her gives her a good home.
The cache that was hidden here is gone, and the location is now a virtual cache. This park is too pretty not to have a cache in it.
To get to the park, If you're coming into town from the north, take 101, and turn right on "V" street, and just stay straight. "V" street will turn into West avenue, which will turn into "S" street. From "S" street, turn left on Harris, and right on "W" street. The entrance to the park is right past the zoo, which is worth visiting in itself.
If you're coming into town from the south, just take Harris street, and follow the same directions.
You can drive very close to the cache location, (Terrain level 1), or park your car "up top" and hike down to the cache location. (Terrain level 2).
To verify your visit, please answer the following four questions. Please don't post the answer as part of your visit report, but email me with the answers.
1: There is a sign that talks about the preservation of the park. The sign is actually a passage from a book. What is the name of the book?
2: Who wrote the book??
3: What year???
4: Near the sign, you'll find out that "She liked a warm glowing fire." Who was "she"???
Enjoy the park!!!
