Geocache Description:

Another cache close to the shoreline of Cockburn Sound

You are standing in a carpark, in the distance you see Garden Island, seperated from the mainland 7000 years ago, and home to some unique wildlife, and Australia's Largest Naval Base.

In the foreground you see a beach on Cockburn sound, this one is popular most day with Jet Skiers, and on weekend the local cadet unit often practices sailing here.

Linking the two is the causeway, construction completed in June 1975, after which construction of the Naval base commenced.

The cache is a small screw top container with logbook, no writing stick, and room for small items.
