Geocache Description:

This a multi - night cache which requires a walk to reach the start point. The paths are level, but there are roots crossing them and some low overhanging branches across many of the paths in this area.

The cache is too small to hold anything apart from the log - so please bring a pen with you and a torch and spare batteries.

You are looking for a micro cache. The co-ordinates given are for the starting point - not the cache!

The starting point is itself a bit of a walk from the nearest parking area, but on route if approaching from the east you will pass another cache "Nuts, bolts and general ironmongery".

The start co-ordinates are for a 4ft 6 high square post on the northern side of the footpath. From it you should be able to make out which of three ways you need to travel.

Please use a torch to see the run of "Fire Tacks", which you should pick up easily in the beam of a powerful torch held at eye level as the glow back at you.

You are nearing the cache when you find two tacks within a metre of each other at the same level. At this point look for a different coloured tack in the beam of your torch. That tack marks your target for your search for the cache and log book.

Please return the log book to the lid of the cache and place it so that it is protected from the rain.
