Geocache Description:

There is a small pullout on the levee side near the cache, room for one vehicle. Log only. BYOP

From the cache site you will get a nice view of Bocage Plantation. Listed on the National Register of Historical Places, Bocage was originally a 10,000-acre sugar plantation presented by Marius Pons Bringier to his daughter Francoise (Fanny) when she became the 14-year-old bride of Christophe Colomb in January 1801. The original house burned and was rebuilt in 1837 in the American Greek Revival architectural style. Bocage Plantation underwent a complete restoration in 2008 and is now open to the public for tours, private functions, and as a bed & breakfast facility.

Congrats to NF1 for FTF!
