Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small cache at the beginning of the newly completed Benjamin Hawkins Parkway. The Central Georgia Council Boy Scouts operate nearby Camp Benjamin Hawkins.

All entering Cub Scouts work to complete their Bobcat Badge requirements where they learn the Cub Promise and Law, along with the Cub handshake, sign, and motto: Do Your Best!

The Scouting Trail begins in first grade. To earn their Tiger Badge, Cubs work on a series of tasks with their den and their family. They also take fun field trips called "Go-See-Its."

Next is the Wolf rank. To become a Wolf, the Cub works with this parents and fellow den mates to learn about such things as proper flag display, health, using tools, taking care of the earth, and doing his duty to God.

The Bear Cub works on activities in four major areas: God, Country, Family, and Self. The Handbook offers the Cub more choices to meet these rank requirements.

The Webelos rank is for the 4th and 5th grader. These Cubs are learning to make the transition into Boy Scouts. More emphasis is spent on working with den-mates, doing more independent work, and completing more challenging opportunities. The Webelos Activities Badges are divided into five areas: Physical Skills, Mental Skills, Community, Technology, and Outdoor.

The Cub Scout who completes an extended series of these Webelos Activity Badges, and who works to learn more about Boy Scouts, will earn the Arrow of Light Award, Cub Scouting's highest honor. The Arrow of Light is the only Cub Scout award that can be worn on the Boy Scout uniform.
