A Cache in an area hidden within the Merimbula township
This cache is in a spot a lot of locals aren’t aware of. It may not be the Sydney Harbour Bridge, but for a small town it’s just as impressive. It is in a 200 ml systema container. Park your Vehicle in Munn Street. Merimbula. ( S36’ 53.061 E149’ 54.940) The entrance to the area looks like a concrete driveway, walk down this and you will see the bridge with a picnic table, you can even launch a canoe or kayak and explore the Back lake to Short Point. The area has a few walking tracks that can be explored. This bridge spans the Merimbula creek and will be a final stage of the Lions track from Tura Beach. The first stage is already completed and if you have found “Look Out Leo 1” you have found stage 1. There is a rough track from Merimbula starting from “the Bridge to nowhere” to Mirador then on to the Tura Lions Track. If you explore the tracks be aware of snakes and ticks. The cache is a small sistema container wiith room for the logbook bring your own pen
