The Low Point Lighthouse was established in 1832 on a point just outside Sydney Harbour. Owned and operated by the Canadian Coast Guard, this light house is roughly 85 feet above water, Flashing white every 5 seconds can typically be visible for 21 nautical miles. Take a walk around and you will get a true appreciation for why this area is called "Low Point"
