Geocache Description:

This cache hunt brings you to Little Stoney Point State Park. It is not a large park. There is a .8 mile trail that circles the point and a .2 mile hike to a viewpoint out over the river from a rocky craig. Most of the terrain is very easy but the final destination requires some rock scrambling.

Little Stoney Point What a great little park for an adventure. It's got trains, boats, castles, driftwood covered beaches, caves and rocky cliffs. The cache is in a military surplus Mortar Tube hidden amongst the rocky base of the stoney summit. It may be difficult to find as there are many potential hiding spots. I've included some spoiler photos that I would print to bring along with you as landmark rocks may be needed.
Please conceal the hiding spot well to prevent accidental discovery.

Stop up at the Breackneck Pedestrian Railroad Overpass afterward to get a closer look at Bannerman's Castle on Pollepel Island. It's fascinating history is revealed on a sign at the overlook next to the bridge.

A keen eye is all that is needed. No rock overturning or movement neccessary!
