Geocache Description:

This is a traditional cache placed near Harrabrough Head. The cache itself is a 1 litre click lock container and may take some looking for but do enjoy the views while you're trying to find it and please make sure the rocks are replaced.

Harrabrough head is a triple arched headland near to the village of Herston on South Ronaldsay. The headland has the remains of an old, possibly medieval, building on it. The building measures about 21.0m by 6.0m contained within a grass covered earth wall. Access to the head itself is very dangerous and should not be attempted.

Nearby is a Murka Hole, a gloup or blowhole formed when the roof of a sea cave collapsed.

The cliffside approaches are very narrow in places and this is probably not a cache suitable for small children.

Care is needed when approaching the cache site - the ground may be slippery.
