Geocache Description:

An easy nano at the Wascana Skatepark. Watch out for 'SK8r' muggles!

Plans for this skatepark were announced in 2005, and construction began in the fall of 2007. The skate plaza is 16,867 square feet, and incorporates banks, gaps, handrails, ledges, stairs.

The City of Regina, through it's Civic Art Collection Committee and the Regina Arts Commission conceived a static art display incorporating skateboard imagery to compliment the skatepark on the shore of Wascana Lake.

The 12 large steel artwork panels are by local artists Chris St. Amand and Jen Hamilton depicting a sequence of skateboard movements reminiscent of Eadweard Muybridge's groundbreaking photographs.

Do not search between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., as City of Regina Bylaw 2004-27 section 5(1) states "No person shall remain in a park between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m."

Be sure to bring your own writing instrument, and please carefully replace the cache exactly as you found it!
