Geocache Description:

The letterbox is at the posted coordinates. I would encourage you to leave the GPS in the car, read the story and try to work out where the ball landed. Their are now two "balls" One has what used to be a decoy but now is the official log. The other is the letterbox log and stamp. Have fun.

I was pulling into the Parking lot and I hear over the loud speaker a tale of a home run. Knowing that there are two letterboxes in the area and the one that is a geocache/letterbox hybrid is very close to where the ball was hit. I decided I needed to check it out and make sure everything was OK with the cache. Hear is what I heard. Yes sir folks it is a fine day hear at the Nischwitz Stadium, Home of the Wright State Raiders Baseball team. If you are just joining us this has been be one interesting game. Geocachers Vs Letterboxers has homerun derby written all over it. 8th inning and the score is 12 Geo and 14 Letters. Both have the bat power and neither one can figure out where they are on the baseball diamond. Every time the ball is hit the Geos look into their gloves and wonder around in a zig zag pattern. The letters on the other hand do get to maybe where the ball might fall but after getting the ball they never know which base to throw it to. It is like they have to read some directions before they know where to go. Now, on with the action. On the mound we have the #4 Martians pitching. #47 Slammer is up and with Boyd family on deck and GHS on 1st. Martians winds up and here is the pitch. Slammer hits it deep, it is going, going it is out of here. It went right over Urban Cox Clan head the 2nd basemen and then right over #3 Arnolds playing center field. Both of them where playing Slammer to pull slightly to the right and it flew just right of dead center. Why I think it almost made it to the 844 fence line and would have made it over if it had not hit that tree. We are now sending the bat boys, Farmerboy JD and Buzz2003 out to measure this long ball. With my binoculars and the zoom on the tv camera it looks like Buzz has it.. Nope wrong sport there Buzz. ah wait there it is….. Please leave the stamps in the cache! Permission has been granted and parking in lot 8 should not be a problem. I would not recommend late late night but after dark is not a real problem because there is a lot that goes on at the Nutter Center. If you can blend in and the place is not closed you should not have a problem.
