Geocache Description:

Last Known Address Nungarin

Should be an easy find in the Dead Centre of Nungarin.

Due to my advancing age, I (and my doctor) am concerned about the possibility of my experiencing a medical situation while on the road to Maintain one or more of my 120 GC Geocaches and 50 GCA Geocaches.

If you live near this Geocache, or regularly travel near it, you might be interested in Adopting this Geocache (or more of mine). Please let me (WanderingAus) know by Message at
Geocaching Message Center
if you are interested, including the cache code or codes
(e.g GC37CN6 for this cache).

Due to the temporary nature of pens and pencils in my geocaches
BRING YOUR OWN WRITING IMPLEMENT!!!

I enjoyed hunting down a couple of richlink's "Last Known Address" series of caches, and having spotted a large number of cemeteries in my travels I asked richlink if I could add to the "Last Known Address" series of caches. I received a reply in the affirmative on 5 May 2009, but I couldn't find my Round Tuit, so it took me a while to place any. (See my GC1RB3G WanAus 95 - Round Tuit if you don't know what that means.)

WanderingAus wandered by, taking a very roundabout way to get to Bruce Rock for the annual Back To The Bush Veterans Reunion, and doing some cache maintenance and cache hunting on the way.

After visiting my two caches GC20FGQ WanAus 144 - Trayning Run and GC20FGD WanAus 154 - LKA Trayning in Trayning, I came across the Nungarin Cemetery. I was surprised to find it didn't have a cache, so I decided to rectify that situation.

The cache is not at the above co-ords but it is where you will find some of the information to locate GZ.

At the posted coords you are looking for the headstone of Corporal L. Jackson, Australian Regular Army
ABCDE = the numeric part of his Regimental Number.

Waypoint 2 can be found at S 31° 10.655' E 118° 05.582'. Here you will find the headstone of Pte Arthur John McInnes, Australian Military Forces 1939-1945
FGHIJ = the numeric part of his Regimental Number.

Waypoint 3 can be found at S 31° 10.659' E 118° 05.566'. Here you will find the headstone of Private C.C. Keitel, 2/4 Machine Gun Battalion
KLMN = the numeric part of his Regimental Number.

Waypoint 4 can be found at S 31° 10.659 E 118° 05.587'. Here you will find the headstone of Lance Corporal J.B. Guthrie, 3 Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment
OPQRS = the numeric part of his Regimental Number.

The cache can be found at S31°10.EP(D+J)' E118°05.L(A+G)(Q-N)'.

I've tried to keep to the simple style of Richlink's caches, so they were originally all micro containers, although some were bigger than others. Over time some were replaced by small size containers, including this one.

This cache is a drab camo'd 95mm Diam x 90mm High plastic screw-top container with a log, a pen, 2 pencils, a sharpener, Finders Cards, and a few swaps. Please be sure to put the lid on tightly and conceal it as found, and watch out for muggles.
