You are looking at the face of Bowman - while
hiking up to Bowman Mountain we came across this
character.
Placed on Bowman Mountain the cache is
located about 8 km or 5 mi from the trailhead
The total hiking distance to the summit is 12 km one way along a
wide logging road. The summit is at 1,000 meters or 3,356 ft
and you start at 117 meters or 350 ft for a gain of 900 meters or
3000 feet.
Bowman Mountain is Located in
between The Twin Sisters Mountain and Mosquito lake
road.
The beginning of the hike is
on Mosquito lake Rd, 4.2 mi from Acne. Just go to the Bowman
Beginning cache, which is placed at the parking
area.
Make sure if have not already found that you
take the time to complete the trek to the summit, and find both
Road Side Rocks, and Bowman Mountain caches views from here are awesome and
not only include Mt. Baker and the middle fork of the Nooksack
River canyon, but also both North and South Twin Sisters
Peaks.
