This is a cache hidden at a small sports field. I've been to this park several times but only recently realized there was a memorial here. Take a walk around the paved path and enjoy this beautiful, rural park. The boots, gun, and helmet in the center of the memorial remind me of two of my brothers who served in the Marine Corps near the end of the Vietnam War. It's eerie how your voice will echo if you stand near the sculpture and speak. Please park in the marked parking area. It is a very short walk to GZ. The park is open from dawn to dusk. It isn't always maintained in the winter and may be chained off. You'll be able to get in as long as there hasn't been a large snowfall. Beware of muggles. Please don't retrieve the cache if there are muggles who may discover it. Please place the cache back exactly where you found it. Please log DNFs. However, keep in mind that every geocacher overlooks a cache sometimes. Sometimes a DNF is just a DNF. Because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there. Also, a list of DNFs doesn't mean that the cache is missing. Keep in mind that people cache in groups. I do watch the logs and I do maintain all of my caches. With that said, if you notice the log is full or wet, or needs replacement in any way, please let me know. If you need a hint, please ask. TL/DR: Put the cache back exactly where you found it. Log DNFs but don't think that it must not be there because you didn't spot it. This is a 3 difficulty, not a LPH. Happy caching.
