Just north of the San Miguel and Torrance County lines on U.S. 285, this cache is just 1 1/2 miles east of the Santa Fe County line. The nearby 252 milepost indicates that it is only 252 miles south on U.S. 285 to the Texas state line south of Carlsbad. Highway construction survey station marker 1575+00 is on the north bound lane right-of-way fence across from this hide.
This is more info than the normal traveler cares to digest.
