Universally, the Crossroads is a place of spiritual power, but also danger, where ghosts, malevolent fairies, the old gods and goddesses of Europe and Africa, as well as devils are thought to lurk. The Crossroads, that place where roads intersect, now exist everywhere, of course, but forks in the road weren’t as commonplace in the ancient world
The intersection of roads and pathways (or crossroads) have always been attached to magical qualities, superstitions and danger, usually of an evil nature. Spirits whose purpose it is to lead travellers astray are thought to wait at crossroads. In many cultures crossroads are considered unhallowed ground haunted by all sorts of vampires, demons, malevolent faeries, ghosts and other supernatural creatures. Murder victims were often buried at crossroads as it was beleived that their souls would be restless and would try to rise from the dead in order to seek revenge. The cache is located at a 5 road crossroads in a rural area between the villages of Knockbridge and Dromiskin. The area has an eerie feel to it (or it should after reading the above) The cache is a small tablock box. It is NOT hidden in the wall so there is no need to move any stones. It should be a quick cache and dash so you won't have to linger too long. Beware of Will O'Wisps. Find it....if you dare
