whitepks: This cache keeps going MIA and part of the difficulty is that there's continuing work in the area. So we've archived it.

This cache is at the top end of the Nurses Trail, very close to the West end of Tadanac Blvd, and parking is available here or you can walk up from the Platzl after you find Nurses Trail Bottom End.
The Nurse's trail used to be the route our nurses used to go from town to the hospital. It is a beautiful walk partially beside a tiny spring fed creek spring, summer and fall. It is also used quite a bit by locals during the winter so while it may be slippery, it is usually not impassible.
There is a steep trail approximately 2/3 of the way up (N49 41.345 W115 59.380) that leads to the backside of the Cominco Gardens which is directly in front of the old hospital, now Kimberley's Health Center. Do NOT attempt this trail in winter unless you have extreme crampons because it is very steep and very icy.
This is very close to the location for the best view of Kimberley's ski hill. BE VERY CAREFUL if viewing the ski hill, however, as a misstep could tumble you down a very long, steep, grassy scree slope made from the Sullivan mine tailings.
This is an easy bison tube find meant to introduce this short trail to our visitors. It is NOT too close to the edge of the scree slope to be dangerous however keep a close eye on young children.
It is winter accessible.
