How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Small Clip lock box in a camo bag, with log book and pen and small swaps.
Please replace cache and geoflage carefully to ensure the next cacher has a good hide to find. Thanks.
Please don't park in front of the gated entrance to the forest, as this gate is in regular use.

The first of 3 caches placed along the edge of the forestry road. This cache is a small clip lock box in a camo bag with logbook pen and small swaps for the young cachers. The track can get quite muddy in places, so wellies or stout walking shoes are advisable. A couple of points to note are :-
1. This is a working wood / forest, and you may come across work sites, workers and vehicles during your visit. Please avoid all working areas and obey any signs and instructions.
2. The roads and tracks are used for o lot of different activities, you may meet other people during your visit - please be on the lookout for them, as they may be unaware that you are there.

The 3 caches in this series should take no longer that 1 hour to complete. ( depending on your caching ability ) the walk is about 1.4 miles in total from the parking location stated.
You can link this series of 3 caches with Cayo's series if you wish.

Many thanks to Tanya Dykes and Dai Jones of Coed y Cymoedd District Forestry Commission for permission to place this cache.
