Historien:
Der var engang - for sådan begynder ethvert godt eventyr - to damer, Birgit og Ulla.
Birgit boede på Ullasvej og Ulla boede på Birgitsvej, og det havde de altid gjort. I gamle dage, før der blev udstykket til koteletgrundene, kunne Birgit gå direkte fra haven med det lille bindingsværkshus på Ullasvej over til Ullas hus på Birgitsvej, og omvendt. Nu var de nødt til at gå udenom.
En dag fandt Ulla fra Birgitsvej på, at det kunne være hyggeligt at tage med Birgit fra Ullasvej på picnic, ligesom de havde gjort så ofte før. Derfor gik Ulla fra Birgitsvej over til Birgit på Ullasvej for at aftale med hende hvem der skulle sørge for hvad. Derefter gik Ulla tilbage fra Ullasvej til Birgitsvej.
Da det var ved at være tid, gik Birgit fra Ullasvej over til Ulla på Birgitsvej, for at de sammen kunne følges på picnic, som de havde gjort så ofte før. Da Birgit var nået fra Ullasvej over til Ulla på Birgitsvej, mødte hun Ulla på Birgitsvej, for hun var allerede klar til at tage afsted.
Sammen fulgtes de ad Birgitsvej og videre hen til det sted hvor de så ofte før havde holdt picnic.
Og hvis de ikke er gået, så er de der endnu.

Once upon a time - for such starts every good fairy tale - there were two ladies, Birgit and Ulla.
Birgit lived at Ullasvej and Ulla lived at Birgitsvej and so they had always done. In the old days, before there were parceled out, Birgit could go directly from the garden with the small half-timbering house at Ullasvej over to Ullas house at Birgitsvej and vice versa. Now they were forced to go around.
One day, Ulla from Birgitsvej thought that it might be nice to go on a picnic with Birgit from Ullasvej, as they had done so often before. Therefore, Ulla went from Birgitsvej over to Birgit at Ullasvej to agree with her who would be responsible for what. Then Ulla went back from Ullasvej to Birgitsvej.
When it was time, Birgit from Ullasvej went over to Ulla at Birgitsvej, so they could follow along on the picnic, as they had done so often before. When Birgit had come from Ullasvej over to Ulla at Birgitsvej, she met Ulla on Birgitsvej, for she was already ready to go.
Together they went on along Birgitsvej and further to the place where they so often before had held a picnic.
And if they are not gone, they're still there.
