City 2 Country Life Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

TyegerzEye: i really hate to do it as this is the first cache i've ever placed - and maybe one of my best caches - but it's time to say good bye to this ammo can in the woods. The house and the land next to it are both up for sale now. Not sure any potential buyers would like people sneaking through the woods. Not that this cache saw much action. But still. Looks for me to be placing this some where else soon. Well as soon as i decide where, that is. Thanks to all the people who found and enjoyed this cache. Expecially thanks to those that gave it favorite points. The first is always Special

Geocache Description:

This cache will be archived due to the land being sold. If you want the smiley come and get it. I'll leave it in place for maybe another month. Then it will be "reborn" as a new cache in a new location. Cache on :-)

***CONGRATULATIONS GreerX4 FOR FTF***

The cache is not at the listed coordinates. That will just be the beginning of a little trip you will be taking on my own person loop in Bedford. It will end (hopefully for you) where our life took us when we had to move.

This is our first attempted at placing our own cache. It’s our own little anniversary cache. Not only will this be the first of many caches we place (we hope), we are doing this to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary and the changes our lives have taken.

As everyone already knows, in life we don’t always have TIME for everything. I loved walking “THE” Bedford loop but I didn’t always have the time for it. So I made up my own “loop” I hope u enjoy the exercise and the little bit of knowledge your gain along the way.

My “loop” started much further up Longwood but for this we will start at the listed coordinates. When you arrive you will see a sign to help you answer a couple of Question ….. Ohhhhh I hope this Cache lives up to our expectations ? And doesn’t totally suck.

A) John Goode was born in 18__

B) He died in the year 190_

From here you can walk (or drive if u are the lazy sort) on down the road to

N 37 20.303 W079 31.309

For your next question

C) General Hunter used this road __ __ ____ when he crossed the Blue Ridge en route to Lynchburg.

For the next questions find a pretty little park….. and look down to read …. (( ohhhh and if u haven’t already found the tricky little cache in this park make sure u give it a shot ? ))

N 37 20.223 W 079 31.388

D) Dr. John A Wente was born July __, 1930.

E) Dr. Wente started serving the Bedford area in 19__.

How could our anniversary cache be complete without a stop by the house where we were married? ? Isn’t it lucky then that it happens to be in my “loop?”

N 37 20.287 W 079 31.462

F) Mrs. Robert E Lee and her daughter visited here in 186_.

G) William and Frances Burwell constructed this building in 18__.

Well, that’s it for signs on my walk. Unless of course you would like to head back towards the first 2 like I did on my return trip.

When you figure out the coordinates for the cache look for an old drive way on the right side that no longer leads anywhere. Feel free to leave your car there and take a little walk ? BTW no worry’s in your search. You’ll be on family property. You’re looking for an ammo box with room for tradable. Please don’t leave geo trash ….

Please do not post pictures of this find or comment on what u see once you are there. Please make sure you put back anything u disturb. Thank you for not ruining the fun for the next person.
