My grandparents, Don and Hazel Roth, are resting in the Elnora cemetery. While they both passed away while I was rather young, I had the honour of being the oldest grandchild and got to know them quite well. I had hoped to place a cache near their grave, but a different cache already placed in the Elnora cemetery forced me to place it further away, thus the multi-cache.
The above picture is from their wedding. My grandparents are in the centre. The best man on the left is my grandfather's brother, Bob, and the Maid of Honour on the right is my grandmother's sister, Fern. This picture is from December 29, 1953, the day they were married.
My grandparents lived just west of Elnora for as long as I can remember. Day trips and weekend trips to visit the farm were a highlight of my childhood and both Foster Bros spent many hours biking, running, paddling, and otherwise playing in the farmyard that you can still see on the horizon from the south side of town.
To find the cache, you'll need to complete three steps, although there is only one container involved. The posted coordinates are for the entrance to the cemetery. From there, you'll need to locate my grandparents' grave. The cemetery is not too large, so it shouldn't be too difficult. Again, please be courteous as you walk around the cemetery and respect those interred here. Once you have located them, walk 145 metres due south, then turn and walk 51 metres due west. You'll now be at the final cache, a small lock and lock.
