This is on Thame Lane and can be done as part of a small series on a circular walk, of about 2 miles, from Clifton Hampden. So named as placed on 11th November 2011.
It is a 1-litre black-covered clip-lock box and when placed as well as the log book had assorted tradeable items plus laminated certificates for the first 5 finders.
Some of the footpaths can be muddy so boots or wellies are recommended in winter. Probably not suitable for buggies in winter.
There is parking in Clifton Hampden between the church and the Thames, except on Sunday mornings, or on the north edge of the village in Courtiers Green, N51 39.546 W 001 12.607.
Thame Lane is classified as a RUPP - a Road Used as a Public Path and runs from the Abingdon Road near the International School, north of Culham Research Centre and along the Clifton Hampden Parish Boundary to the B4105.
Although Thame Lane is useable by bikes, the rest of the circular route consists of footpaths only.
