About The Cache:
This cache is part of a Chugiak Volunteer Fire and Rescue Co., Inc. sponsored cache series placed at a few of their stations by a member who is also a fellow Geocacher and member of Geocaching.com.

About the station:
Station 32 (Gilmore): Named after Cliff Gilmore, who was chief in the late 1980s and early 1990s. As of 2009 he remains an active member with more than 35 years of service. The original structure was only two bays, built in the early 1970s on land belonging to the Birchwood Community Club. It had a more modern 1947 Ford pumper. Two larger bays and a bathroom were added in the late 1970s.
About CVFRD:
Chugiak Volunteer Fire and Rescue Co., Inc. is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to providing emergency services to the community of Chugiak. We are staffed by members of the community serving the community. Qualifications for joining our organization are as follows; be
18 years of age with a valid Alaska driver’s license, posses a high school diploma or GED and reside within the Chugiak service area. No emergency services experience is required for people interest to join who live in the service area.
An affiliate program is available for people who live outside our service area. An Affiliate Member must be currently certified by the State of Alaska as an Emergency Medical Technician or have completed training equivalent to Alaska's Firefighter I curriculum. An Affiliate Member shall be a minimum of eighteen(18) years of age, reside outside the Chugiak Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company, Inc. District, must possess a valid Alaska drivers license, adhere to all rules and regulations of the company and those described herein.
