Charleston Secret Santa Event

We all know that Santa Claus was the
ORIGINAL Geocacher. Sneaking around, trying not to let people who
AREN'T magical (Muggles?) see him. Taking an all-terrain vehicle (a
flying sleigh!) anywhere and everywhere to put boxes full of SWAG
underneath trees! He signs his name to the log sheets (To: Little
Timmy Love: Santa)..keeping a list of the ones that he has done,
and those he has yet to do.. and even putting those that haven't
been good on the ignore list.. or was that the naughty list? He
even has signature items. I believe that would be the milk and
cookies.. and maybe a coke. I wonder if his elves are trackable..
and NOBODY can beat his numbers!
This is a meet & greet event with an optional
activity.
The event is
being held at the Coyote Coffee Cafe at 5 P.M. Saturday Afternoon
on December 17th, 2011! We will be swapping caching stories,
trading trackables, and there will be plenty of travel bugs and
geocoins to discover during the event. We will also be discussing
future events, and the project ideas that the community has been
discussing on their local page.
OPTIONAL EVENT
ACTIVITY:
Create a
Geocacher's Gift - $20.00 OR LESS! (And there's absolutely nothing
wrong with spending less..you can even hand make the entire thing)
- to bring to the event. Every person planning on recieving a gift
must bring a gift. Make sure it is a gift for Geocaching. It can be
a cache container of any kind, SWAG items, trackable items...
written permission to hide a cache on someone's property ;)..
anything pertaining to Geocaching that you desire to gift to
someone at the event. Wrap it with newspaper, or whatever you've
got. GET CREATIVE! :) Make sure all gifts are CHILD
FRIENDLY!
When
everyone arrives for the event, we will all be throwing our caching
handles into a hat, and whoever's name we draw, that's who we give
the gift we brought to.
