For them folks what don't speak French, that there means "Thanx Dude!". (Us Riffsters have always been multi lingual) Come on down to the Lil Big Econ State Forest on Saturday, 11-26-11 at 6:00pm and get you a hotdog or two!
It has become a bit of a tradition in Central Florida, for the Riffster Clan to gather with geocaching friends, and fix some vittles as a way of giving thanks to the community for all the caches folks hide and find every day. We really love this quirky little hobby, and it would not exist if it weren't for your efforts.
This event will occur in the Barr St Trailhead parking lot, in the Little Big Econ State Forest, off County Rd 426, between Oviedo and Geneva. Being on this property after sunset requires a camping permit. I have one, so we're OK to be there.
I'll be bringing my little charcoal grill, some dogs, some buns and some condiments for your nibbling pleasure. If you can think of some grub that might compliment hot dogs, feel free to bring it along. One thing you should definetely bring is some kind of lawn chair, as there is no seating available. A flashlight might prove useful, as well as some bug spray and whatever you like to drink.
Some folks have been asking about a certain nearby Wherigo night cache. Dude! This event is about schmoozing and feasting, two of the Riffster Clan's favorite things, not poking around for caches. Afterwards, if you must go tip toeing through the woods in search of ammo cans, I will have a permit on hand. I will also bring my Oregon with the Wherigo cartridge loaded.
