Another quick cache along a very scenic stretch of trail. Take your
time and enjoy your surroundings! Oh... and you will need to bring
your on pen or pencil along to sign the log.
When the old and dilapidated rail bridges were all replaced with
solid new ones a number of years ago it required making some
changes to the routing of the trail itself. Rather than taking the
direct route across raised bridges as the original rail line had
done, the trail now verges to the side and down to the
stream’s edge before crossing on the new, smaller bridges.
Woe betide anyone who isn’t familiar with the trail and
doesn’t heed the signage. For, in many places, where the old
trail leads to an absent old rail bride there is a considerable
drop to the creek.
