Geocache Description:

Please try to trade items that are a shade of blue.

No Night Caching. Indications of night caching in logs will get the logs deleted. Thanks.

The color blue is one of the additive primary colors. In the light spectrum, it is dominated by the energy with a wavelength of 440 to 490 nm. It's frequency is `680-610 THz. On the traditional color wheel, its complementary color is considered to be orange. It is one of the spectral colors, existing between violet and cyan. The modern English word blue comes from the Middle English bleu or blewe. Many languages do not have a designation between blue and green. Instead, a cover term is used, grue.

In painting, blue has been considered a primary color in painting. Natural dyes, such as woad and true indigo, were used to produce indigo dye used to color fabrics blue. These have been replaced by synthetic dyes.

Most animals that are considered blue are actually different shades of grey that contains a bluish tint. An example of this is the Blue-Tick hunting dog.
Animals, such as giraffes and lizards, may even have a blue tongue.

Blue is commonly associated with water, icy, the sky, winter, policy, royalty, boys, cold, calm, and trueness. Blue is also the color of the box of my favorite shortbread cookies. It can also be seen in flags, sports team merchandise, vehicles, and in jewelry.

It is also one of the four quadrants of the geocaching symbol.

Where do you see blue?
