Geocache Description:

This is #22 in a series of Mother Road caches started by Cowboy Singer. The container is not a nano but tweezers might help with the log.

Located in a park just north of the Milk Bottle Grocery, a historic Route 66 establishment. Constructed in 1930 the building sits at an old streetcar stop along a line that ran diagonally across Classen Boulevard, which served as a segment of Route 66's original Oklahoma City alignment. Subsequent realignments of the highway, first along Western Avenue and then on 23rd street, are only a short distance away. The towering milk bottle perched on the store's flat roof confirms that the Milk Bottle Grocery is a Mother Road must see. Built of sheet metal in 1948, the eye catching milk bottle has been a local landmark for over 60 years. The Milk Bottle Grocery was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998. Today the Milk Bottle building houses a Vietnamese sandwich shop.

Congratulations to Team Gator for their FTF!
