This cache is located in Crandon Park where the Crandon Zoo was once located. You WILL need to leave the paved pathway to get to this one. Be on the look out for wildlife... including crocodiles. We saw two of them basking in the sun when we were there!!!
The closest parking available is at the South Beach. You could park in the North Beach parking as well, but you'll have a much longer walk to the cache. There is a $5 admission fee to enter Crandon Park on weekdays and $6 admission on weekends and holidays. Park hours are 8 a.m. to sunset.
There is room for small trade items and trackables. Bring your own pen. Nothing fancy here, just a GREAT little spot that was begging for a geocache!!! Let your geosenses take over, and you'll be good to go. PLEASE replace our makeshift camo, or this one could get muggled.
