Golf is sometimes referred to as a good walk spoiled. It also has a language all of its own. It is not really surprising that birdies are good and boogies are bad. However, while no-one wants an albatross around their neck and sailors think they are unlucky, most golfers are delighted if they ever get one. Part of the course is called the green. But most of the whole course is grass and it is all green. The rough in caching terms is often terrain 1.5 which is pretty smooth really. And who has ever heard of a golfer actually trapped in the sand. Outside of golf, being below par is bad but in golf it is good. If you are driving a car a hole in one is a thing you don’t want in your tyres – but if you are driving in golf it is desirable. In life, as in golf, going out of bounds is not uncommon. But in golf you are sure to have to pay a penalty for this. This cache is placed, as you may have guessed, on a walkway near a golf course. We could have called it 'Out of Bounds' or 'Hole in One'. Bring your own pen or pencil - and please indicate in your log if the log has five or fewer spaces left. Thanks.
