This cache is located in Crandon Park where the Crandon Zoo was once located. This one is a bit off the paved path, but not too far from one of the trails. Be on the look out for wildlife... including crocodiles. We saw two of them basking in the sun when we were there!!! Totally not kidding.
The closest parking available is at the South Beach. You could park in the North Beach parking as well, but you'll have a much longer walk to the cache. There is a $5 admission fee to enter Crandon Park on weekdays and $6 admission on weekends and holidays. Park hours are 8 a.m. to sunset.
There is room for small trade items. Bring your own pen. Nothing fancy here, just a GREAT little spot that was begging for a geocache!!! Tree coverage might scew coords a bit. Let your geosenses take over, and you'll be good to go. PLEASE replace our makeshift camo, or this one could get muggled.
