CDS08: Lower Base Line Traditional Cache

Country Drive Series. A quick drive by cache on Lower Base Line.
I just love driving around in the country. There's less traffic, fewer stop lights, nicer scenery and cleaner air than in the city. Sometimes it's about finding a great spot. Other times it's more about getting there than the destination. That's what this series is about, an excuse to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
This is the second CDS08 cache as the previous one to the east was destroyed by the construction of the new road.
There used to be an old single lane bridge to the west. It has been replaced with a modern two lane bridge and the road has be rerouted to accommodate it. From the cache location you can see a small section where there used to be road, a section that's been redone to provide access to the local properties, and the closed off section where the road used to go.
While the road has been modernized, complete with bike lanes, it's still a very nice country drive.
Note: Stay away from the old large fallen fence post as it has rusty wire wrapped around it.
