OUT OF PETROL Traditional Cache
salbert53: Sorry but we have decided to archive this cache as the road/railway work that is going on along the A7 is causing problems for fellow cachers and for us to maintain. Will hopefully re-sight this one in the near future. Apologies to all those that have had problems with this one !!!!

Track road from A7 to B709. Watch out for the potholes - drive slowly ! Easy access to cache.
The house on oppsite side of road (A7 end) once was a petrol station and Post Office which serviced the surrounding villages and farms. After Galashiels this was the last place for petrol until Newton Grange when travelling North. The Post Office managed to survive longer than the garage and only closed in recent few years.......like most small communities PO's are closing ..sign of the times...a nice tidy job has been made of clearing the previous business's to make a dwelling...who would have known it was once quite a busy asset to the community ?? you do now !
