The cache is located at Bull Creek. Originally called Moanariri, Bull Creek derives its name from the activities of a wild bull in the early days. Bull Creek is a popular holiday resort because of its beautiful surrounds and enjoyable bush walk. There is also a safe bay for the children to go swimming and there is fishing off the rocks.
This walk was made by the local crib owners, DOC and Otago Regional Council as a millennium project. As well as the bush the walk features a number of footbridges that enable you to walk upstream along the gorge to a picnic spot by a small waterfall. The native trees along the track are labelled for easy recognition.
As well as finding the cache continue on the walk which is quite easy and takes about one hour.
The cache is a 800 ml camouflaged container hidden at ground level and containing the usual goodies, including logbook and pen. Please place back how you found it.
