It's a walk of less than a mile from either of two parking lots at this Blacksburg park. Start on the black-top trail; after a while you'll have to go afield.
You do not have to wade Tom's Creek; there's a bridge. You do not have to bushwhack through muck if you approach the cache from the paved trail
You're likely to see a Mockingbird in the area. About 170 species of birds have been seen in this park since it opened. We hope you enjoy your time afield and notice some of the birds.
The cache is a camo'd plastic mayonaise jar.
