Tyne For My Bugs To Come And Go Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

gnome#4: It is with great sadness that I must put this one to rest. With over 275 finds and over 75 favourite points, this has been my favourite hide. I have quite enjoyed reading all the different adventures that each cacher has had when visiting this one.

I had hidden it almost ten years ago. I then moved away and adopted it out. I have since adopted it back.

This cache ended up being smack dab in the middle of an invasive species removal. After speaking with one of the park maintenance workers, he said that they will be doing a bunch of replanting in the area and didn’t want any disturbance after that. Park maintenance has retrieved everything from the cache site for me and I picked it up from their works yard.

Just to clarify that when I originally hid the cache, it was an easy, breezy stroll to the cache site. Thus the low terrain rating. There had been many finds by the time the wall of blackberry had seasonally entombed it. A few people had complained about my terrain rating but I didn’t believe in messing with it because it would affect too many people’s stats. And trust me, I have had that happen to me. So I left it as is and put in all advice needed to be successful with this cache into the description.

Thanks to everyone who has visited here. I hope your battle wounds have healed.

Geocache Description:

If you visited My Goodbye Cache http://coord.info/GC2NXRZ when it was on my front lawn in Squamish, this one will be a no brainer. In fact, I recycled the same container and log book.

This cache is best accessed from the west. If you walk east towards the tall grass, you will notice an animal trail. This will lead you toward it. Best to come prepared with rubber boots, a machete or garden snips, pants and long sleeves.

I encourage photos. They make the story better. However, any SPOILER PICS OR LOGS will be deleted without notice.

Cache is in accordance to Metro Vancouver guidelines.
The Little Gnome's first travel bug was released in here when we placed the cache. Enjoy the hide.

(JANUARY 2012: My cache was muggled and two TB's went missing. This is NOT a TB hotel or trading post. It is a cache for me to work out of.)
