Geocache Description:

First off, another FREE PARKING cache! In Venice near the beach! For 10 hours! Classic example of art deco public building that, fortunately, was never altered since it was built. "Venice Police Station, Division 14" is still engraved above the front entrance. BYOP

This is an old police station I discovered in Venice. It opened in 1929 and closed in the early 1970's. I love how they didn't change any of the exterior decor! It now houses SPARC, which is an organization which, among other things, is active in preserving some of many public murals around Los Angeles. There's an example of a cool one on the wall surrounding an adjacent parking lot. FTF gets "Life's short, cahce hard," pin. CONGRATS TO MADISON1971 FTF!
