Geocache Description:

Just a short walk from the car park close by at the cemetery. Only room for maybe 1-2 micro Geocoins. £1 for FTF.

My dad who is a Torpointer has told me the story about a man with horse and cart who disappeared into a bottomless pit call 'Dead Man's Pool'. After doing some research I could only find a story about a debt collector from Plymouth who was murdered and thrown in.

'The only trace of scandal is the story of a Mr Prescott who, some years ago, arrived from Plymouth to collect a debt owed to him by someone at Antony House. He disappeared! Legend has it that he was murdered and his body dumped in 'Dead Man's Pool', a bottomless pit at Borough, now filled in.'

I would be interested to know if anyone has heard any other myths about 'Dead Man's Pool'
