We are a bunch of flyers, from 12 years old to 90. I have been with the field since day 1 when the field was Churchill 43°40'35.89"N 79°53'30.24"W . We started off with 20 members, and now we have nearly 100. We started off with fixed wing, now we have planes, helicopters, jets and drones to a point. We have come a long way, from building kits to building from scratch. We have lost many members who know old day techniques to members who had to leave due to difficulties. We miss all members.
If you love flight, and can not afford to do the real thing, think about Remote Control (RC). It is the fraction of the price, and when we do "Fly ins", if you hit another plane, we all laugh it off as fun. $200 as apposed to $2Billion. (no money actually exchanged, other than a hand-shake). Then we have a problem, do we have cheese on our burger, or a spicy hot dog??? Most have BOTH!!! We actually have real VET pilots with stories too!
Mainly, we fly between the hours of 8am and 1pm. This is due to the weather (Wx) and wind. if it is a still cool day, we can be there all day. We have had members be there until sunset.
Come watch us fly when the gate is open. Cache is not inside the field, easy grab. Please re-hind when found.
