4x4 Challenge Cache
This Geocache is at the posted coordinates
HOWEVER
This is a Challenge Geocache, meaning you have to qualify
to go and find it.
So, How do you qualify? Read on.
The game of geocaching started over 11 years ago, and as of this cache
being published, there were over 1,577,359 active Geocaches in the world.
So how does groundspeak keep track of all those Geocaches.
EASY
Each Geocache is assigned a specific ID Code
For example this challenge cache is GC37TP5
When Geocaching started out, Geocaches had ID Code's like GC13 and GCAD
Eventually Groundspeak ran out of GC prefixes and Geocaches then were
given ID Codes starting with GC1
Time continued along and so many Geocaches were published that
Groundspeak added the GC2 prefix
Yes, we knew the game was becoming more and more popular, that in
July 2011 the first GC3 prefixed Geocache was published.
Along the journey, many different cache types were also developed.

It all started out with the traditional Cache, and progressed at one point to 15
cache types, 9 still available for new publishing today.
OK, enough of the history lesson, now onto the Challenge.
On July 16th, 2011 I happened to find myself heading to Peterborough, Ontario
for an event.
Looking at the caches in the surrounding area,
I realized I had a chance to accomplish a really interesting geocaching day.
Here's what I was able to do.
I found a GC, GC1, GC2 and a GC3 all on the same day
and to make it more rare, they were each a different type of cache as well.

So, I figure If I could hit this rare caching day, with a little planning you can to
So Geocachers in order to log a find on this Challenge Geocache
you must find all 4 Geocaching Prefix's on 4 different Geocache types
all on the same calendar day.
To verify you qualify for finding this cache, please include
the 4 GC#'s in you log
Will it be hard ?
Yes it will, but it may just get you out of the NEW TRADITIONAL'S RUT.
It will get you out, finding older caches, as well as different cache types.
Some of you may have already completed the requirements for this cache, in that case, you may
go out immediately and find this Geocache.
For the rest of you, Happy Hunting
PS
THIS CACHE MAY NOT BE USED FOR YOUR GC3 CACHE
