Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the West Texas Reviewer.

Geocache Description:

**Safe to do Solo**
Pill bottle hidden close by,but not by the marker. The marker is for The Patrick Community and there is a nice place to pinic just across the highway.Bring a lunch and enjoy a nice rest.

This is another of the Texas Historical Commission Marker Series that I'm placing throughout the county. They might not be in any particular order and scattered all across the the county. This is a nice area and very close to alot of houses from the local community. Please as always be respectful when looking for this cache.

In 1854 the Patrick brothers led some Presbyterian families from South Carolina to Rusk County. There was a six room cabin built along the Douglass - Shreveport rd.The hub of the community was the brothers cabin, the area was originally called Pleasant Springs, which thrived after the Civil War. However by 1925 the business closed but school stayed open until the WWII. Now to this day all that remains of a once thriving village is the church behind the marker.
