The Maze Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

Cache is at posted cords

“The Maze” is a not so simple hand puzzle maze. You push, pull, twist, and turn until you are able to remove the outer housing from the inner housing and retrieve the log inside. The principle is simple and anyone can do it, however patience is the key to getting it open. I have had a few test, not so willing, volunteers work at it to give me a general idea of how long it takes to complete. Of the 4 volunteers only 2 got it open. Of the other 2 one has ADHD, and the other just plain gave up. The open times were in the 15 minute range for both solvers. I would not be surprised if someone spent an hour to solve it nor would I be surprised if someone got it open in 3 or 4 minutes. Luck does play a role in your completion of the puzzle.

As with any handmade puzzle, it is a one and only original. Please be careful with it so others may enjoy the same experience you have had. If it was meant to go it will. If it does not go, do not force it. There is only one solution. Remember to put it back together for the next seeker. If it takes 30 minutes to get it apart, it might take 30 minutes to put it back together.

If you discover any problems with the puzzle or it is broke/damaged, whether you did it or not, please let me know. I am not pointing fingers but rather trying to fix a small issue before it gets out of control. There are some fairly tight tolerances and dirt will not be welcome in the puzzle.

Hope you enjoy!

***I have added a QR code web link inside the container for you to easily put the puzzle back together. Don't forget your smart phone. If you do not have a smart phone please take the time to return puzzle as found. Thanks for your understanding and help to keep this cache "as intended" and "as found."

Purely for your entertainment, you'll find a DNF Log Book for those Geocachers who are left scratching their heads. Definition may read like this: Depressed N Frustrated, Dumbfounded N Flabbergasted, Definitely Not Finishing (today), Dying Need Food! Feel free to log your experiences-remembering that it is a family friendly cache, and little eyes may read from this book while patiently waiting for someone to conquer the Maze! The “real” Found It Log sheet is inside the maze. Only those individuals that successfully complete the maze may claim a smiley! Everyone else should log a DNF or write a note on Geocaching.com. Groups are on the honor system, that each member who logs a Found It, has completed the Maze successfully, without cheating!!
