Geocache Description:


This cache was established by the Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon, the Oregon Association of County Engineers and Surveyors, the Oregon GPS Users Group and the National Society of Professional Land Surveyors geocache program which has a goal of promoting the surveying profession at national and state levels.

The cache is located on the North Line of the Ralph Wilcox Donation Land Claim. This land claim was deeded to Mr. Wilcox in Nov 1858, some 8 years after Congress passed the Oregon Donation bill (Sept 27, 1850).

This cache is also on the North line of the “Hillsboro Garden Tracts”. This is a subdivision that was surveyed in 1911 and consists of mostly 5 Acre Lots. Most of these 5 acre lots have been re-divided.
