Welcome to the Sifto Loop Trail just off the Maitland Trail. The trail is narrow and hard-packed dirt but easily walked. Some steep inclines make strollers etc. difficult (but doable if you want to try).
The cache is a camo covered peanut butter jar with kids toys and foreign coins. It is hidden in a beautiful forest with a huge oak Heritage Tree (the oak camo tape is appropriate) near the Maitland River. You can choose to do just the short loop our cache is on, or add to your hike by continuing on the Goderich to Auburn Rail Trail.
