Geocache Description:

Here is a great excuse to climb this beautiful little mountain in the NJ Highlands.

According to this 1903 map, (visit link) Rock Pear Mountain was once called Rock Peon Mountain.

You won't find much in the way of trails around here, which adds to the fun! There are really nice views to the east from the top of the ridge. The cache is next to a lovely spot to enjoy the view.

There are several directions from which you could approach the cache. The choice is yours.

Be ready to bushwack and climb a substantial grade, possibly at the same time.
